The HSE has established six Health Regions, each responsible for delivering hospital, community, and public health services to the population within its area. By integrating these services, the HSE aims to provide more patient-centred, coordinated care.
HSE Mid West delivers health, social, and public health services across Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary, and includes the UL Hospitals Group.
Planning and Performance is a core function of the Regional Executive Management Team, playing a central role in establishing and leading an integrated, collaborative approach to delivering the objectives of the Sláintecare Reform Programme.
The Planning and Performance team advances a cohesive, integrated, and population-based approach to planning and performance assurance across the full continuum of care, spanning both community and acute services.
The function incorporates key elements of service planning, performance, change, innovation and any other requirements designated by the REO / REMT. It provides an evidence-informed, data-driven approach to regional service delivery.
The work of the function also takes account of the ongoing development and impacts of Clinical Care Programmes, Networks of Care, and multidisciplinary models of service delivery.
